After a successful raid on a HYDRA base, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner create an Artificial Intelligence called Ultron, a peacekeeping protocol designed to help the Avengers protect the world from their enemies. But things go wrong when Ultron sees the human racea threat and sets out to destroy it along with the Avengers. Now the Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, must reassemble to stop Ultron from causing mass destruction. Aside from this, the Avengers also must take on the powerful twins Quicksilver and Scarlet Witchwellthe new entity called Vision. Also, the Avengers find that things may never be the same again after discovering a power beyond their comprehension.
This movie is my most anticipated film of 2015 and it lived up to the hype. It is one of the best action films that has been released in the last 5 years and one of the best comedies in the last 3 years.<br/><br/>This movie is like Marvels Empire Strikes Back because it is a lot darker then the original movie with the Avenger not being torn apart on the outside by Ultron but being torn apart from the inside with fighting between the group.<br/><br/>This movie took some risks with adding in characters like Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch and Vision and they all fit in perfectly, I would even say that Aaron Taylor Johnson's Quicksilver wasgoodEven Peters. They also had a good explanation of how Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch actually happened.<br/><br/>Now probably the strongest part of the movie Ultron he was an even better villain then Loki was in the original because not only does he have the ability to test the Avengers but he is also delivering some of the best one liners in the whole film. He also had some great philosophical views and you understood why he was doing what he was doing. Also James Spaders voice worked perfectly for this villain.<br/><br/>So if you haven't guessed by now I loved this film and I think that you should go see it know.
There seems to be a lot of people who say this movie was bland - I personally think they were expecting too much from the Marvel format. You should go to a Marvel movie knowing that it will contain the following ingredients:<br/><br/>1. Superheros who kick bad guy butt<br/><br/>2. Bad guys who make no strategic sense in their decisions even given their supposed super intelligence. <br/><br/>3. Lots of cheesy dialogue and jokes.<br/><br/>4. Enemy weapons of mass destruction that seem to take a long time to "power up" before destruction. <br/><br/>5. Cameos, tie-ins and links to other movies in the Marvel franchise.<br/><br/>I agree this is a tied formula but its great brain dead entertainment which is fun for the whole family. Action, well timed saves and cheesy jokes all round.
It may well be that we’ll eventually stop looking at these Marvel filmsdiscrete, individual experiences rather than chapters in an epic binge-watch, but even by those standards, Avengers: Age of Ultron feels like a solid but overstuffed episode, one more concerned with being connective tissue than anything else.
